THE PINK PAGODA

The Pink Pagoda

Anyone who knows me, knows I love a couple of things- elephants, colors (especially green and blue) and chinoiserie!  One of my favorite blogs to read is The Pink Pagoda by Jennifer Beshears.

As you can tell by the name, she loves chinoiserie and is not afraid of colors! She has a great eye and every post she does, she shares wonderful photos of rooms and places I would die to have!  She has an amazing shop on Etsy.  Yes, I know I have mentioned it many times, but I just love it!  I was even bugging her about Christmas stationary this week. Yes, I need some gorgeous pink and green for my thank you notes.  Note, the pink- not red!!

Here is my framed Pink Pagoda elephant below:

She also has many items for sale on Zazzle.  In fact, I was looking at her Zazzle items when my daughter and her girlfriends ran into the room last Friday.  They all want her fabulous phone cases for Christmas.  I know.  I am confused too.  Christmas isn't for a little while yet, but it is never too early to think about presents when you are 10 and 12!  You should have heard one sweet friend saying, "Oh Mrs. DiPaolo, you are like a second mom to me!  I love you so much that you would just WANT to buy me something that cute, right?"  OK, I do adore her but I could tell she was playing me!  Anyhow, they also wanted me to buy pillows for them too.  Did I mention the darling pillows she makes? Yes, I bought one of those last week too.  Can't wait to see it.

These are prints from her Etsy shop, The Pink Pagoda:

My adorable Christmas thank you notes!

Other note cards I have purchased.  The boys loved the dragons when I mailed them to camp this past summer.

My valentine cards:

Lovely, generous Jennifer did a post on me and my work this week.  I wanted to share it with you.  It started because I wanted to share a great elephant print of hers that I had framed.  It is the one above.  She has adorable prints that look amazing in a house of color:-)  She asked for some more photos and before I knew it I was practically blogging to her.  I haven't met her in person, but I feel like she has been a friend for years.  Anyhow, take a look at her generous words.

Interior Designer Kathleen DiPaolo's House Tour

Kathleen is one of my sweetest, friendliest, most encouraging customers.  She's also an amazing interior designer based in California.  She's purchased prints and stationery.  I've gotten to know her through Etsy, blogging, (she has an incredible blog called Pacific Family Homes) and through Pinterest.  She sent me a customer photo a week or so ago, and I asked her to send me any other photos she had on hand and convenient.  I told her I wanted to use the customer photo in a feature of her work.  What she did was send these fantastic photos of her house and provide a narrative.  I am so grateful, and excited to share her gorgeous, colorful Chinoiserie filled house!  Enjoy!

This is my living room. I have a vintage bamboo lamps on the right and left. The one on the left was in my living room as a child:-) The other is an Etsy purchase- vintage 60s made in Italy. I wish you could see the gigantic coffee table with my china man in the center. Very cute guy!  The elephant pillows (short lumbars on the sofa) and the yellow tiger pillows were from a trip to Thailand where I visited the Jim Thompson stores and outlets. I collect impressionist paintings and am always searching the consignments stores and Etsy for some finds. I just add them to the walls!  The mantel is a beam from a Wisconsin barn.

Make sure you take the jump to her website here to read the entire post!  Also, you MUST follow her blog and her pins on Pinterest!  She is awesome!

xoxo,

  2. I read that whole post over TPP!! Jennifer has a great eye, and she is a wonderful designer and blogger. Her family room (ORC) makeover was incredible. Since I discovered her blog, I have not missed any of her "Blue and White Monday" posts. I am such a TPP stalker :)
    Cheers to you both!

  4. I love her! I have been waiting to buy one of her iPhone covers until the 5 comes out. I just heard that the new iPhone will be out on the 12th, so I can grab one of her chinoiserie covers for that.
