Oh my.  Summer is gone!  I haven't written a blog in forever and I have had so much going on that it is finally time to stop and fill you in!  I am going to start with my trip to London and Scotland.  There were so many fun pictures, that I am only going to start with London.  Well, I was ready for some inspiration- and boy was there a LOT!!

While the boys were in camp, my husband and I snuck off with our daughter, Posy.  She had never been out of the country, so we took advantage of having her on our own.  Posy loves art and is the best traveler!  Out of bed and ready to take on the day before either of us were:)

First stop- the double decker bus.  It is such a great way to see everything and get the lay of the land.  OK, we only lasted a little before we hopped off and went to the London Eye.

Hello London Eye!
There was a ton of action on the Thames that day- and every day for that matter. We were lucky to have amazing weather and walked everywhere!

With our closest friends.  YES.  THRONGS of people.  It gives me the hives looking at this many people.  I am very good at finding a quite spot.  After this we went to the Tate Modern. The museum is fantastic!

Hi London!

If I ever become cool and hip, I would buy these shoes.  They are so fun and as we waited for the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, I was desperate for inspiration!  Up down- you could find it anywhere!!

Even on the gates!  So regal.

You just don't see things like this in California!

We also visited one of my favorite places- Portobello Road.  The collections were fantastic and I loved how everyone displayed their wares.  I just love the basket on the gorgeous old, leather suitcase.
Or the bread...YUM!!
OK, maybe I date myself, but I remember as a kid when my mom had one of these on display in our living room.  If you wanted to be the hostess with the mostess you had to accommodate those smokers!  Yikes.

Why does food look so much better when it is outdoors?  Ralph's just doesn't do it justice!

If you look closely, you can see the men holding the world on their shoulders.  Do you ever feel like you are doing that?!  I do!!

Of course- my favorite part!!  Why oh why do cappuccinos taste better in Europe?  They are so good and pretty!!  I felt loved:-)

You know I have a thing about elephants, and when I looked down a side street- look what I saw...A topiary!!

I hope you all had a wonderful summer.  It is hard to believe it has come to an end.  Kids are in school.  Yes, that is why I am ending with this last photo.  Even the Guards are happy that the kids are in school!!
